Orpheus, The Magician

A study of the iconography of various Orpheus mosaics, relating to the Christianisation of the Orpheus theme. The mosaics at Jerusalem, Urfa, Adana, Tarsus, Polatli-Kayabasi, Pamphylia-Seleukeia, Cos, and Miletus are illustrated and discussed. The illustrations could have been better, but this is an interesting study.
