Bob Field, distinguished mosaic artist and art historian,
died January 2023, aged 83

Bob was a founder member of the British Association for Modern Mosaic (BAMM), and the first editor of BAMM's scholarly journal Andamento. He was also a member of the Association for the Study and Preservation of Roman Mosaics (ASPROM). He wrote several very successful books on geometric patterns, and another on mazes.

After moving to Swanage, Dorset, he made a study of artists who had lived in and around there. for the Swanage Museum, and was involved with other local projects.
